Background
The Vortex clan members didn’t come to Clint City for a stroll in the park but rather to identify and eliminate the most dangerous members of the city's various clans. And as head of a group of elite soldiers, Dagg is particularly interested in the "elimination" part of the mission.

- The fannon answer for his departure (since the game didn't give him one) was that he went on a secret mission to go further into the past to try and eliminate IronJaw. When his failure was discovered, he was booted to a desk job in the future.
