Background

Frogs have always been associated with magical practices! But it was really by chance that Byron, the good-for-nothing, should stumble across a book about the voodoo world of Los Santos. However, after a few catastrophic experiments, the frog realized that only a specialist could help him progress in these occult practices. Which is why he temporarily entered into the service of Arawaka who needed an assistant as his last one had disappeared under grizzly circumstances. And once he's completed his apprenticeship, he's determined everyone should call him SIR Byron and bow their heads in his presence unless that is they want to be sacrificed to evil spirits!

Missions

  • From Slacker to Sorcerer!: Do 60 Poison Damage with Byron
  • That's SIR Byron, if you please!: Win 40 fights by finishing with a knock-out from Byron

Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages:

  • His base power is 9, which is good for a 5*.
  • His base damage is 3, but becomes 5 with fury, allowing you to 2HKO with other members of Jungo.
  • His ability removes one life from your opponent each turn, after you've won with him.
  • His ability is Growth, meaning the amount of life his poison takes away increases after each turn.
  • He is a good bluff to use in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.
  • Damage reduction doesn't hurt him, since he can rely on his ability.
  • His ability is gained at level four, so he can be used then.
  • The clan bonus increases your life by two, if you win with him.

Disadvantages:

  • His base damage is 3, which is low for a 5*.
  • His ability is useless in the last round, since the poison ability won't take effect since the fight has ended.
  • His ability can make him predictable, especially in the first few rounds.
  • SoA takes away his ability, meaning he must rely on his low base damage.
  • His main weakness are cards, like: Yayoi Cr, Yookie and Bristone, who not only cancel out his ability, but also reduce his damage.
  • He is a 5*, so he takes up a lot of room in your deck.
  • He has competition from the other 5* in Jungo.
