Background

When it came to music in Riotspolis, tastes had always remained very classical. Back then opera star Norma was a firm favorite with the old cronies on the Council. But tragedy struck when the singer tried out one of the first amplifiers of her lover, Dr Copernica Senior: the machine exploded, permanently damaging her vocal cords and face. In order to put things right, Dr Copernica Senior put all his energy and know-how into giving back his loved one her unique voice… But despite all his efforts, he failed in his attempts and died with the failure on his conscience. Meanwhile Norma has developed her new synthetic voice and turned her bitterness into a heart-rending, hypnotic choir.

Missions

  • The Phantom of Riotspolis: Inflict 70 Damages with Norma
  • Steampunk Diva:

Advantages & Disadvantages

Advantages:

  • Both her base power and damage are 7, which is good for a 5*.
  • Her ability removes three power from her opponent, which helps in low-pill fights.
  • The minimum for her ability is lower than her base power.
  • Her ability makes her a good bluff.
  • SoA doesn't really affect her, since her base stats are high.
  • The clan bonus gives you a pill whether you win or lose with her.

Disadvantages:

  • Her ability is Revenge-based, meaning you must lose the previous round in order for it to activate. It also makes her predictable.
  • The minimum for her ability is five, which is high.
  • SoA takes away her chance to reduce her opponent's power.
  • She is a 5*, so she takes up a lot of room in your deck.
  • She has competition from the other 5* in Riots.

Trivia

  • Her bio, artwork and mission name are based off of The Phantom of the Opera, though her origin is a take off on the Lon Chaney version of The Phantom, where he was an ex-opera singer that was disfigured in an accident.
