Background
Otome's mother died giving birth to her. Her father, a frightening yakuza, brought her up alone. Determined to make her into a worthy successor and "a real man", on the day of her 10th birthday, her father announces that he is sending her to the Golden Mountain Monastery to learn the techniques of Fang Pi.
