Background
It was during a surprise attack that Tomoe's entire clan was wiped out by the Yakuzas and their land confiscated by a corrupt politician. Injured and half-blind, Tomoe set off to find an ex-student of her father's named Hattori so that he might complete her teachings in the way of the Samurai. And now Hattori has passed on to her the art of the Flight of the Serpent so she can avenge her family and re-establish their honor.

- The Way of the Serpent: Inflict 60 Damages with Tomoe
- Blind Revenge: Win 30 fights by finishing with a knock-out from Tomoe
Advantages & Disadvantages
Advantages:
- Her base power is 8, which is good for a 4*.
- Her base damage is 4, but becomes 6 with fury, allowing you to 2HKO with other members of Fang Pi Clang.
- Her ability removes three damage from the opposing card, which helps in case you are in danger of being KO'ed.
- The minimum for her ability is one, which is very low.
- The clan bonus increases her damage by two, which makes her a potential 8/6.
Disadvantages:
- Her base damage is 4, which is low for a 4*.
- Her ability is Reprisal, meaning you only get two chances to activate it. It also makes her predictable.
- SoA cancels her ability, which lowers her value.
- She is weak against SoB, since she must contend with her low base damage.
- She is a 4*, so she takes up room in your deck.
- She has competition from the other 4* in Fang Pi Clang.
Trivia
- She is based off of legendary samurai, Tomoe Gozen, a 12th-century female samurai who was known not only for her beauty, but also for her bravery and strength.
- According to her introductory announcement, the head of the Yakuza that destroyed her clan is currently hiding with the Uppers, implying that Kazuyan might be involved in some way.
- There is a fan-theory that since Hattori joined the Golden Mountain Monastery to study the teachings of Lost Hog and Kinjo, there is a possibility that her father could be either man.
